Warner Music partners with Polygon to create Web 3.0 music platform

Warner Music Group, one of the world’s leading music companies, is going further into Web 3.0 by joining forces with Polygon with the launch of LGND Music.

Music non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have been an emerging trend following the industry’s integration with Web 3.0 technologies. Giants like Sony Entertainment have recently added support for NFTs.

WMG is one of the largest music copyright holders in the world. And, it has embraced Web 3.0 and artist-to-fan engagement through a partnership with OpenSea. It has taken quite an innovative approach to shake up the traditional business model of the music industry.

WMG partnered with Polygon to launch the LGND Music Web3 platform in a multi-year partnership. Expected to launch next year, the collaboration will support digital music collections from any blockchain.
