Mastercard, the global payments giant, is once again increasing its exposure to blockchain technology. This after announcing a polygon-based accelerator program to help musicians build their careers through Web3.

The company announced the “Mastercard Artist Accelerator” program via a blog post on January 7. In it, he explained that starting this spring, he will be connecting five new musicians from around the world with mentors who will help them establish their brand in the Web3 music space.

Mastercard is also launching a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This will be called the “Mastercard Music Pass” for those not selected for the program. The goal is to provide hodlers with educational materials and “one-of-a-kind resources” through brand partnerships to help aspiring musicians learn about Web3 integrations with the music industry.
