FC Barcelona and WhiteBIT have signed a new global sponsorship agreement through which the cryptocurrency company will become an official partner of the Barça entity for three seasons, until June 30, 2025.
This association, as explained by the club, “promotes Barça’s commercial strategy, with the aim of consolidating international expansion and continuing to be a benchmark both on and off the pitch”.
Within the framework of this alliance, FC Barcelona and WhiteBIT plan to implement a series of joint online and offline activities to bring together the crypto industry and professional sports of the entity.
Thus, through this agreement, WhiteBIT will be able to associate its brand with the first men’s and women’s soccer teams, as well as the basketball, handball, roller hockey and futsal teams.
The actions planned for this new collaboration include the creation of digital content to make both entities known to the general public. Among them, the appearance of the cryptocurrency platform on the LED screens of the Spotify Camp Nou during match days.
In addition, WhiteBIT will collaborate with the FC Barcelona eSports team during live competitions and with pre- and post-match content. And they will also collaborate as a partner of the innovation and knowledge platform, Barça Innovation Hub, during the annual edition of the ‘Sports Tomorrow Congress’, which will form part of the next Mobile World Congress.
As reported by FC Barcelona, WhiteBIT is the largest cryptocurrency exchange company in Europe. It has Ukrainian roots and was founded in 2018 in Kharkiv. Regarding its activity, it has up to 3.5 million users and a staff of more than 700 specialists.
