MetaMask and PayPal have announced a partnership to allow MetaMask users to buy Ethereum (ETH) from within the PayPal app. The company is said to be the first web 3.0 wallet to integrate PayPal into its crypto transactions.
Cryptocurrency buying and selling services will be available to a select number of users in the United States (will not be available to all). And it will eventually be available to everyone in the country. Although the wallet extension already allows US customers to buy cryptocurrencies from Coinbase Pay, MoonPay and Transak.
Lorenzo Santos, Product Manager of MetaMask, explained:
Integrating with PayPal will enable our US users to not only seamlessly buy cryptocurrency via MetaMask. Alternatively, you can easily explore the Web 3.0 ecosystem.

Through MetaMask, users can buy cryptocurrencies, interact with applications that integrate non-fungible token (NFT) markets, Play-To-Earn games, DAO, Metaverse. As well as decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.
