Cryptocurrency platform Paxful withdraws ETH from its market

Ray Youssef, CEO of Paxful’s cryptocurrency platform, announced via Twitter that ETH is pulling out of its market.

Peer-to-peer cryptocurrency market Paxful has removed Ether (ETH), the original Ethereum token, from its market. Citing a number of concerns about the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

Paxful CEO Ray Youssef announced the decision in a message to the platform’s approximately 11.6 million users, which he later shared on Twitter.

Youssef pointed to three main issues surrounding the Ethereum ecosystem that caused the market to pull ETH, citing Paxful’s intention to maintain its integrity and its efforts to fight “economic apartheid” in the world, driven by fiat money systems.
